The conditions in Mont Tremblant made it hard to race: “To say that it was raining at today’s Ironman Pro Series race in Mont-Tremblant would certainly be an understatement” (Kevin McKinnon for Triathlon Magazine Canada). Choppy conditions lead to a shortened swim and tough conditions for the bike and run. Obviously, these times can’t count for course records, but it’s interesting to note that Lionel Sanders time was under the bike course record (also by Lionel from 2017) and Tamara Jewett’s run split was almost four minutes quicker than the 2019 run course record by Mirinda Carfrae. We can look forward to new records in 2025 …
